We loved staying at the courtyard for the second time this year. The location is great, the huge terrace and parking space are a great bonus and the house has plenty of space, storage and is very comfortable. Our only tiny gripe is that it wasn’t quite as clean as we’d expect, there was stuff left behind in the bathroom mirror cupboards and when I lifted the lid on the salad bowl there was a mouldy onion in it which had clearly been there some time! These are minor issues but when paying a summer holiday premium they are a little disappointing. The recycling could also do with addressing as the Shadycombe bottle recycling referred to in the handbook hasn’t been there for a long time now. We took all of our glass/cardboard and tins home but I expect that a lot of people simply bin it. Surely there should be a responsibility to be environmentally conscious? Some champagne glasses would be great too but perhaps I’m being greedy! Overall an awesome week, a great place to stay and we’ve booked again for next year already!

Location is very near to everything Salcombe offers. Restaurants, shops, the sea etc. the apartment is very private with courtyard space for having an outdoor meal . No sea views but it didn’t matter because we so near the sea. Brilliant layout with the two bedrooms far apart from each other. We could do with a loo near bedroom 2. Very nicely furnished and 3 slightly distinct areas which works well. Well equipped. Good storage area. A decent frying pan would be good. My only criticism! We really think this is a very good apartment and intend to come back time & time again.

We had a lovely stay at the Courtyard , everything one could have wished for , location close to all amenities, well equipped with all household essentials, car parking etc, but was spoilt on our last day , after removing the bedding as requested the state of the two under pillows on the double bed were disgusting , one had blood stains and the other some other stains which to say the least were not very nice, and to some extent spoilt our holiday, hence the lower marks for quality and cleanliness.In future whoever prepares the this holiday let should be more vigilante on what is hidden underneath bedding etc. It really did spoil what was a love holiday up to that point
