Tor Cottage in Salcombe, Devon, is a well-furnished and comfortable property praised for its cleanliness, convenient location, and thoughtful touches catering to families and pets. Guests have enjoyed the proximity to the town centre, the comfortable beds, and the well-equipped kitchen. The garden's maintenance and steep steps were noted, but these did not detract significantly from the overall positive experiences.
The property is consistently described as clean and well-kept, with multiple reviews highlighting its spotlessness. One minor note was made about the garden's appearance due to uncut grass.
The location is highly praised for being close to the town centre and local amenities, making it an ideal base for exploring Salcombe and the south Devon coast.
Guests find the cottage comfortable, with special mentions of the great-sized rooms and very comfortable beds. The steep garden steps were a slight concern but did not significantly impact the comfort level.
The property is well-equipped, especially the kitchen, which is appreciated by guests who enjoy cooking. However, some maintenance issues like the uncut grass and mossy, slippery paving steps slightly lower the score.
While the reviews mention thoughtful touches such as nightlights for children and a viewing spot for the dog, there is no mention of gifts. Therefore, it cannot be determined if gifts are provided, and the score is set to null.

Iâm a chef so please to see the kitchen well stocked with cooking utensils and much more! Very comfortable and pleasantly decorated. Loved the view from the windows and top of the garden. ( may have been nice to have had the grass mown and paving steps jet washed before our arrival. Very slippy with moss etc and would have been much easier to pick up poo from dog). We have fallen in love with Salcombe. Loved the walk into town. Bars and restaurants all served really nice food. Great â kookyâ around shops. Beautiful beaches and walks. Think we packed quite a lot into our 5 night stay. Canât wait to return. (Hopefully soon!) And continue our exploration of your beautiful part of Devon.

Only one small problem that did not really affect the overall stay the grass had not been cut for some time and that made the garden look neglected
Danny
A great location near to Salcombe town centre and for exploring the south Devon coast. Off street parking to the front (and rear if required), which is extremely useful around Salcombe. The garden can be a bit of a challenge; steep steps and a sloped garden, but manageable. Overall, a very nice cottage.
