Buzzard is set directly next to Dartmouths golf course and spa. Whether guests are looking for a relaxing break with fine dining or a get together for some rounds of golf, this property couldn’t be better.
Set just outside of Dartmouth’s main town away from the hustle and bustle. Avoid the notorious difficulty of parking as Buzzard has plenty of parking space and is just a short 10-minute drive from the heart of Dartmouth. As you enter the property you find yourself in the entrance hallway which leads through a door to your left into the open plan kitchen/living and dining area. This open, social space is great for entertaining guests and socialising in general. The well-equipped kitchen looks out over the living/dining area with modern wood burner and also benefits from doors leading out onto the rear patio and sitting out area. The property has underfloor heating throughout and the ground floor also has a very handy toilet.
Upstairs to the first floor is where two of the bedrooms are located. One bedroom contains a kingsize zip and link bed which can be separated into two single beds upon request. This bedroom has a lovely, frosted glass feature wall leading into the en-suite bathroom. Not to mention doors from the bedroom itself leading out onto a rear balcony with lovely views across to the tennis courts (available to use free of charge), and over the communal lawn. The second bedroom on this floor contains two single beds and also boasts an en-suite shower room. All of the bedrooms have built in storage to pack all of those clothes.
Up the second staircase to the 2nd floor takes you to the third bedroom. This bedroom contains a kingsize bed as well as en-suite shower room, and similar to the bedroom below has doors leading out onto another balcony overlooking the lawn behind the property towards the tennis court. The beauty of ’Buzzard’ is that not only is it situated on the grounds of the hotel, perfect for avid golfers, but also with guests able to make use of the facilities such as the spa which includes swimming pool and gym all free of charge, but also makes it a tranquil relaxing break. The popular Woodlands adventure park is just a matter of minutes down the road, perfect for the children! Whether you are wanting to visit Dartmouth specifically, or venture slightly further afield and explore all that the beautiful South Hams and English Riviera has to offer, Buzzard is a great place to start.

We had a lovely stay in Buzzard house! It was very high standard clean, had everything we needed for our weeks stay. We had to call about a leak under the kitchen sink and this was dealt with very quickly and efficiently. We were very impressed!The extra touches of a welcome/kitchen pack was great and having the passes for the indoor pool etc was excellent.

As three retirees wanting high end accommodation near Dartmouth and its attractions, this was probably the wrong choice for us. The cottage was clean and tidy, but a little dated in places. The three en-suites were beautifully clean with lovely fluffy white towels provided. The outside space was disappointing. The two upper decked balconies looked extremely tired. Neither had a small table and chairs as depicted in the on line photos, perhaps for safety reasons. The barbecue and seating area left a lot to be desired, consisting of a plastic table and ten very dirty plastic chairs. Not a good first impression of the property.Buzzard would be an ideal destination for a golfing/ spa break, where the hotel and its facilities would play a much larger part in the holiday experience than it did for us.

We stayed in the 'Buzzard' cottage for the second time during the 2026 May half term. Being a golfer, and with my son and grandson, we played golf on several occasions. The multi generation family all enjoyed facilities at the hotel with indoor heated pool, a gym spa and tennis available. The hotel also provides food and drinks.The cottage is comfortable and well appointed although starting to need maintenance in certain areas, such as the balcony decking. The WiFi is slow being between 8-12 mbs, especially if we all used our phones TV and laptops. Dartmouth and surrounding areas are a pleasure to explore, with heritage steam train and riverboat to enjoy. A plentiful choice of food and restaurant outlets in Dartmouth are also good.
