Chagford is noted for its culture, hosting film, literary, and music festivals as well as the Two Hills Race, an annual running race. Exeter, a vibrant, lovely city just over 21 miles away, offers a different kind of getaway and is well worth a visit. Okehampton, a quaint and attractive town, is about 12 miles distant.

It was so warm and cosy, the beds were comfortable and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The owners were very accommodating when we wanted to extend our stay by an extra night. I would definitely recommend and intend on coming back to Foxhat cottage.

Very well equipped, warm and welcoming. Location in centre of Chagford is perfect for exploring Dartmoor, and handy for shops and local facilities.

Chagford is a great centre for exploring Dartmoor and a really nice vibrant little town, with shops, cafes, galleries and pubs/restaurants. Lots of great walks on the doorstep too. We would book again.
