This pretty little detached cottage, within the owner’s grounds, is set in six acres of peaceful Cornish countryside, well located for many different activities including; surfing, walking, cycling and sightseeing.
The cosy wood burner is perfect to curl up beside on a chilly evening, and there is also a sunny patio to the front of the cottage, where you can enjoy a glass of wine at the end of a busy day exploring.
There are many country and coastal walks close by, and plenty of dog friendly beaches. The cottage is just 6 miles from the golden sands of Widemouth Bay, popular with surfers, and 9 miles from Bude with its historic castle, vibrant town centre and vast array of good restaurants and bars, along with three more glorious sandy beaches and a stunning coastal path. The fishing villages of Tintagel, Rock and Padstow are close by, and the wild beauty of Dartmoor and Bodmin Moors are all within easy driving distance, as well as the famous Eden Project. Port Isaac, made famous in the TV series ’Doc Martin’, is worth a visit, as is Boscastle. Golf, horse riding, surfing, bowling, indoor ‘Splash’ pool, and mountain boarding are all on offer close by, and the internationally acclaimed annual Bude Jazz Festival is not to be missed. Shop, pub and resturant 2 miles.

We stayed at Little whiteleigh for a week on the 21st August 2026. We had a fantastic stay with Benson our Boxer.The cottage is delightful and in a secluded spot very secure with electronic gates. It is situated down a country lane and is ideal for exploring places of interest ie Port Issac Bude Bodmin Boscastle etc. Our hosts Eve and Louise were very friendly and their two dogs Drifter and Tootsie a pair of Irish Woolfhounds were a pleasure to meet and spend time with. Benson had a holiday romance going on with Tootsie and they were almost inseparable. The enclosed garden is fantastic to just let your dog play and explore. There are a few local pubs within minutes of the cottage with a car, and we ate out on a few occasions but also cooked meals for ourselves in the cottage. We had a lovely holiday and would like to thank Eve and Louise for a memorable weeks holiday.

Our stay was peaceful, a car is essential, you do need to drive out to places, we were happy with that because we like to go out and visit the different villages and towns, owners are very polite lovely people, the cottage was very nice and had everything we needed, if anyone is looking for cute little peaceful cottage it definitely ticks all the boxes, thankyou 😊

Just back from a week at this little cottage. Had the best week the hosts Eve and Louise were amazing made us feel so welcome! The cottage is perfect location for going for days out and when you come back it’s so peaceful to relax! The cottage is well equipped with all you need and nice and cosy. If you have an electric car there is a big charging station with fast chargers about 12 miles from the cottage at Strawberry Fields Farm shop. This is a perfect little cottage for a couple would highly recommend staying here! Will definitely go back!
