Nearby, visitors can enjoy village pubs, independent shops, gardens, coastal adventures and national park landscapes, ensuring there's plenty to experience beyond the lakes. Dolton is a small rural village in the heart of Devon's rolling countryside and offers a small selection of shops and pubs, making it the ideal place to stock up on any store cupboard essentials and maybe stop off for a refreshing pint or a bite to eat in a traditional English pub while you are here. Winding lanes, high hedgerows and a gentler pace of life characterise the area. The open tors of Dartmoor are a big attraction for nature lovers and walkers, while the hills of Exmoor and the surfing beaches are all a short but scenic drive away. Historic Torrington, home to RHS Rosemoor and an arts centre is within easy reach, whilst the cathedral city of Exeter with its Roman city walls, shopping centre, theatre and restaurants, makes a great day out.
