Chapel Cottage is a charming and cosy property with comfortable beds, well-equipped kitchen, and a location ideal for walking and exploring Dartmoor. Guests appreciate the character, cleanliness, and the extra touches like a wood burner and throws. The nearby pub and village add to the appeal, making it a home away from home for many who wish to return.
The cottage is generally perceived as clean, with guests noting it was tidy upon arrival. There were minor comments about crumbs and items under furniture, but overall, the cleanliness met the expectations of most guests.
The location is highly praised for its proximity to Dartmoor, local pubs, and walks. The village's charm and tranquillity contribute to a peaceful stay, making the location almost ideal for guests seeking relaxation and outdoor activities.
Guests find the cottage comfortable, highlighting the quality of the mattresses and sofas. The presence of a wood burner and cosy atmosphere add to the comfort level, although there were some minor issues with squeaky bed bases and small towels.
The cottage is well-equipped, with a good kitchen and garden suitable for dogs. However, there are several maintenance issues mentioned, such as squeaky bed bases, difficult doors, and water pressure problems, which slightly detract from the overall experience.
While guests mention a welcome pack and the provision of milk and biscuits, there is not enough consistent information about gifts to accurately assess thoughtfulness. It should be noted that such gifts, while appreciated, are not guaranteed.

A beautiful, characterful cottage on the edge of Dartmoor in a charming village. The cottage is well equipped with everything you could need, including sundries like tea and coffee. The beds were very comfortable and the open fire magical on the cold nights. Highly recommended and can’t wait to return.
