Guests say

The Cot is a charming and cosy cottage, highly praised for its comfort, welcoming touches like homemade lemon drizzle cake, and its proximity to a friendly local pub with delicious food. It offers a peaceful and private setting, ideal for exploring the Cotswolds, with an enclosed garden that is perfect for dog owners.

Most guests found the cottage to be warm and comfortable. However, one review mentioned the presence of cobwebs and an unclean kitchen floor, suggesting room for improvement in cleanliness.

The location is highly regarded for its convenience for touring the Cotswolds, with local walks from the doorstep and a village pub close by. The area is described as peaceful, private, and accessible to local amenities.

Guests consistently describe the cottage as comfortable and cosy, with good quality bedding and a warm atmosphere. The enclosed garden and privacy add to the comfort of the stay.

While the kitchen is generally well-received, there are suggestions for more robust cooking utensils and additional items like a whisk and weighing scales. The shower drainage and log fire also received negative comments, indicating some areas need attention.

The owners' thoughtfulness is frequently mentioned, with welcome packs including cake, milk, and dog treats. While these gestures are appreciated, it should be noted that such gifts, though delightful, are not guaranteed for every stay.

The only area to my mind that fell short was the kitchen. I think most people would appreciate a whisk, kitchen scales, cooking utensils made of steel rather than plastic which were showing signs of wear and tear, salt and pepper mills and possibly a washing machine in place of either the dishwasher or the freezer.

The kitchen I feel is missing a set of weighing scales, a whisk and possibly replacing some of the plastic cooking utensils with items that are more robust.Unfortunately the shower floor after a shower is a bit of a nuisance as the water doesn't drain away that well, but you get used to it.
