Guests highlight the comfort of the barn, thoughtful touches throughout, and the warm, helpful hospitality of the owners. The property is especially dog-friendly, with secure gardens and amenities for pets. While the remote setting and lack of an upstairs toilet are noted, most guests found the tranquillity and wildlife to be a major draw. The barn is ideal for those seeking a relaxing countryside retreat with excellent walking opportunities and a true home-from-home atmosphere.

Cleanliness is consistently praised, with multiple guests describing the barn as spotless, immaculate, and exceptionally well-maintained. No significant negative comments were made regarding cleanliness.

The location is celebrated for its peace, beautiful countryside, and proximity to walking routes and wildlife. Some guests mention the remoteness and challenging access via single-track lanes, but most appreciate the tranquillity and views.

Guests frequently mention the comfort of the beds, quality bedding, and the cosy atmosphere, especially with the efficient log burner and underfloor heating. A minor note was made about slightly tired sofas, but overall comfort is rated very highly.

Facilities are described as outstanding, with a well-equipped kitchen, laundry, heated drying shed, and thoughtful extras for both guests and dogs. The only recurring negative is the lack of an upstairs toilet, but this does not significantly detract from the overall experience.

The owners are repeatedly commended for their helpfulness and attention to detail, such as providing carpet for elderly dogs and a welcome supply of essentials. Some guests mention fresh eggs and other thoughtful touches, but please note that such gifts are not guaranteed.

We arrived after a 8 hour journey to a warm welcome off the owner and an impressive barn. The drive to the barn was tricky. But, it was warm and welcoming, everything thought of for our comfort. It was so peaceful. It was a good base for getting out and about, even though the weather was bleak the week we were there, having such comfort to go back to was a bonus. Being able to park right upto the barn was great too. I noticed from the visitors book, that there were lots of return guests, we'll be one of them. A wonderful stay.

Lovely, well equipped, converted barn close to the Wimbleball Lake and Haddon Hill with great walks and views. Very quiet location and well fenced off garden to keep the dog in. The beds were comfy, there was no shortage of crockery, cutlery, pans etc. which has often been a failing of some of the places we have been. Little extras like a welcoming supply of sugar, coffee, tea and milk were much appreciated as were the supply of dishwasher tablets and bin bags. Overall, the six of us and dog had a wonderful time in this lovely part of the country. Would recommend Harewood Barn to anyone.
