This is potentially a lovely accommodation, but our early autumn experience of tired upkeep was not as good as summer visitors had noted in the Cottage Book. There was no House Book - as we've had elsewhere , we were not allowed access to the timer for the heating (taped off) so one of us had to get up early to turn the heating thermometer back up each day (after turning down for sleeping), the shower would only settle for scalding hot or freezing cold and would not stay at a comfortable temperature, there was no wi-fi (Watchet itself if not good for this, but several other locations had taken the trouble to organise an internet connection) Data didn't always work on our mobiles, we only had access to limited news programmes and 1980s house-makeover, DIY cooking programmes , old films we'd probably seen, on daytime TV, etc. So not a warm, comfortable place to be cosy while the weather turned wet and wild. So we left earlier than planned. We love Watchet and will come again, but read more carefully what is LEFT OUT of the website descriptions.
