We had a very comfortable stay at High Lodge and I would recommend it. There are lots of great dog walks close by and the large garden was appreciated by our dog. The only thing that I would suggest is to improve the kitchen equipment as it is quite limited. The addition of a mixing bowl, some additional cooking pans and a bottle opener would be welcome. There is so much wonderful produce in Somerset I like to cook when we are away, which is why we book cottages and this was restricted this time by the lack of kitchen equipment.

This was our second time renting this accommodation as it’s so good! Having the pub close by is a great feature - it’s not so close that there’s any noise disturbance though. Plenty of dog walking opportunities and lots to do in the area. Cleeve Abbey is worth a visit (dog friendly and within a short walking distance from the property). There is a DVD player in the lounge and TVs in every room. Kitchen is reasonably well equipped. BBQ is old but serviceable (it’s charcoal, not a gas one). All in all a super place to stay.
