Well Cottage is a charming, spacious retreat set in tranquil countryside, perfect for those seeking peace, beautiful views, and excellent walking opportunities. Guests consistently praise its cleanliness, well-equipped kitchen, and secure garden ideal for dogs. Thoughtful touches such as welcome refreshments and fresh flowers are appreciated, though not guaranteed. While the remote location offers serenity, it does require a drive to shops and attractions, and some access routes are currently affected by road closures. Overall, Well Cottage provides a delightful, relaxing escape for families, couples, and dog owners alike.
Multiple reviews highlight the cottage as spotlessly clean, immaculately presented, and well maintained, with only rare mentions of minor areas needing a little TLC.
The rural, secluded setting is widely praised for its peace, stunning views, and proximity to nature. Some guests note the remoteness and current road closures require longer drives to shops and attractions, but most found this added to the sense of escape.
Guests describe the cottage as spacious, cosy, and comfortable, with well-appointed rooms and excellent facilities for families and dogs. A few mention steep steps and low door frames, but overall comfort is highly rated.
The cottage is repeatedly described as very well equipped, with a modern kitchen, good Wi-Fi, secure garden, and thoughtful extras like board games and a gas BBQ. Some minor maintenance issues (e.g., oven speed, décor) are noted but do not detract from the overall experience.
Guests frequently mention thoughtful touches such as welcome tea, coffee, milk, biscuits, fresh flowers, and even dog tags with the cottage address. Please note these gifts are not guaranteed for every stay.

A lovely large secluded cottage in a quiet area. Well equipped with everything you would need for your stay with welcome tea, coffee, biscuits and milk waiting. The enclosed garden is ideal for dogs and has good views over the hillside, ideal for sitting out of an evening, and the porch is great for drying off the dog if necessary. Bedrooms are large and comfortable with a large on-suite and dressing room for the main bedroom. Inside could do with a lick of paint and the oven takes forever to cook anything but this does not detract from the cottage. Water is drawn from a spring so only one can shower at any one time, but the power shower makes up for that. The shorter road to the cottage is closed but there is a longer route to it that adds a bit of time to your trips out but you can plan accordingly. All in all a lovely place to stay if you enjoy peace and quiet. Will definitely be going again at some point.

Pity that the lane from cottage needs a 10 mile detour to get to the coast and nearby Dunster.
