Fabulous break for 3 nights. Great location and not too far from some lovely villages and nice places to eat and drink. Nice hot tub which was a bonus, just a shame we could not do some local walks as the weather was not great. We will be back..

Our second stay in this delightful modern apartment. As my previous review reported, the accommodation is comfortable, clean and well-appointed. This time, we had a film crew next door, filming for a horror movie! We were not disturbed though and on occasions watched some of the outdoor scenes.During the day, we visited Colchester, we cycled there from the holiday home and had lunch at First Site Art Gallery, visited St Botolph’s Priory, the Natural History Museum and Castle. We visited Grange Barn (NT) and Paycocke’s House (NT) at Coggeshall, again, we cycled there, Google took us on a bit of an assault course this time, limboing under a gate, across a stream and through woods, but it was a lot of fun! We again cycled to Lavenham Guildhall (NT) and Melford Hall (NT), where we visited last time. On route we visited the Wimpole Estate (NT) and did the Halloween trail. We cycled to Sudbury for shopping, along the old railway line (2.5 miles) taking in some of the Talbot trail and spent an afternoon folk dancing at the village hall in Bulmer, (fortnightly Mondays 2:30pm - 4:30pm), it was great to meet some of the local people. An hour from the accommodation is Thetford, where we visited the Dad’s Army Museum, the Burrell Museum and on the way back, we called into Ickworth Hall (NT), which is absolutely amazing. There is no need to be bored in this area, there is a lot to see and do and Jane & Phil are great hosts, nothing is too much trouble for them.
