Guests say

Coach House offers a peaceful and cosy retreat in a beautiful woodland setting, ideally located for exploring Sutton Hoo, Woodbridge, and the Suffolk coast. Guests appreciate the tranquil atmosphere, spaciousness, and friendly hosts. The property is well-equipped and pet-friendly, with easy access to local walks and pubs. While some areas could benefit from updating and deeper cleaning, and a few guests noted road noise and mattress comfort, the overall experience is positive, with many guests enjoying the character and charm of the cottage.

Most guests found the cottage clean and well maintained, though a few mentioned areas needing more attention, such as windows, outside furniture, and general tidiness. Some reviews noted the property was not very clean, but this was not a universal experience.

The location is highly praised for its proximity to Sutton Hoo, Woodbridge, and local walks, with peaceful woodland surroundings. Some guests mentioned road noise and difficulty finding the property at night, but overall, the setting is considered a major asset.

Guests enjoyed the cosy, warm atmosphere and spaciousness, especially appreciating the log fire. However, several reviews highlighted uncomfortable, lumpy mattresses and the lack of an upstairs toilet as drawbacks.

The cottage is generally well-equipped, with most essentials provided. Some guests noted missing or dated items (e.g., frying pan, dish rack), and areas needing maintenance, such as the patio, outside furniture, and kitchen/bathroom. The lack of a welcome booklet and some minor issues with appliances were also mentioned.

Guests appreciated the warm and friendly hosts, and some mentioned thoughtful touches such as fresh eggs and milk on arrival. Please note that such gifts are not guaranteed for every stay.

Lovely area. A little close to the road. Lovely walks along the Deben. Easy to walk to local pubs and into Woodbridge, so car free days.Easy to access the coast. It was difficult to licate the property at dusk. Fortunately a neighbour was in and directed me."First property on the left , amost immediately after 40mph sign. " - would have been more useful than "pat way up the hill. Also, main house is straight ahead - turn right almost immediately to find the coach house. There are sighns, but neither are easy to see in the dark.

The coach house was in a lovely location, and had very friendly owners. The house itself is in need of a little attention. It was not very clean and was missing a few items that we could have done with. There was no welcome booklet, so we did not know what to do with the recycling (all areas are different) and there were no details for emergency numbers, ie local hospital, doctors. No details about where to eat or local shops.
