The sunny master bedroom provides a real sanctuary to enjoy after a day of enjoying all that Suffolk has to offer and the bed is just asking for you to sink into and enjoy a restful night’s sleep. The double bedroom is stylishly presented and overlooks the pleasant outside courtyard area. The twin room offers a space suitable for both adults and children to enjoy. Take your pick from a bathroom or the en-suite shower room which complete the accommodation. Feathers enjoys an enviable location, set within 12 acres of private grounds which are just asking to be explored and also gives the opportunity to make use of a communal indoor heated swimming pool and gymnasium during your stay. This is a great setting to enjoy getting close to nature with RSPB Minsmere a short drive and some fantastic walks and cycle rides nearby anywhere within the Suffolk Coast and Heaths which is a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Southwold is nearby which is known for its impressive Victorian pier and selection of traditional pubs and shops and the picturesque village of Walberswick is well a worth a visit with its sandy beaches and a couple of pubs, ideal for stopping off at for a refreshing pint and some delicious food. Days out within a short drive include Go Ape Thetford, Framlingham Castle, Somerleyton Hall, Adnams Brewery, Yoxford Antiques Centre and Gardens, Snape Maltings and Melford Hall. Resting within an idyllic setting, Feathers offers a stunning venue for a holiday to remember for a lifetime.
Southwold is a seaside town situated along the East Suffolk coast within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and resting between Lowestoft and Ipswich. Southwold is known as the home of Adnams Brewery which was established in the town in 1872 and it also has its own lighthouse, a museum and a picturesque pier which has a selection of colourful beach huts and which plays host to the regular Southwold Model Yacht regatta. The town boasts a number of excellent restaurants and eateries with a particular nod to its seaside location so there is always plenty of seafood and fish on the menu. Southwold has some fantastic independent shops, boutiques, galleries and pubs which are great for a browse and to stock up on essentials for your holiday. Just outside Southwold there are a number of great attractions for the whole family including Africa Alive Zoological Reserve, rspb Minsmere and Dunwich Museum as well as scenic towns such as Aldeburgh, Thorpeness, Leiston and Lowestoft to visit.

Map of complex has apparently disappeared from the flat but has not been replaced, so finding the swimming pool on a winter's evening was challenging! Flat (toilet) not properly cleaned on arrival. Heating difficult to control on low, so we had to turn it off completely to stop the flat becoming too hot. Some of the utensils are heavily damaged and should not still be in the drawer. Oven/grill instructions missing and it is quite an unusual appliance so we gave up after 2-3 days of trying to work it out ourselves. Based on this, the property rating of 5 stars is a real stretch although it has potential to be worthy if greater attention was given to details (which make all the difference).

We would definitely come back. Great to have swimming pool and games room on site and plenty of space for kids and dog to get outside. Welcoming and helpful neighbours. Property would benefit from more crockery as there was only 1 bowl each so we had to wash up a lot and also a stale Smokey smell when we arrived which was unpleasant. The ikea mattress in the main bedroom had been flipped onto the side you canât sleep on and was too soft but when we realised this it was easily sorted. Would be nice to have some extra towels and bin bags too for a week long stay. Also another set of keys would be good as there was only one set of front door keys. These are minor points which are easily rectified as overall itâs a lovely place to stay and I would recommend. We hope to return.
