There is parking for two cars in Cart Lodge and a further two cars on the driveway. Your dog is welcome and a dog towel, blanket, bowls, treats, poo bags and an outside tap are provided.

Right on your doorstep are Suffolk coastal walks and local footpaths. For those of you that would like to explore by bike there is a hire centre that deliver and collect bikes for all the family. If you fancy a spot of pampering Potton Hall Spa is 4 miles away. For the bird watchers rspb Minsmere is close by and if you feel like a bit of retail therapy why not try Stonham Hall Barns or quaint Bungay and Beccles. Nearby Halesworth has numerous cafés and local shops to browse, all surrounded by lovely countryside. Southwold has a beautiful beach and is a charming town with independent shops and the Electric Picture Palace, a special bijou cinema. Close by are Walberswick, again with a lovely beach and a popular place to go crabbing. Close by Dunwich museum which is the perfect history experience, telling the story of the city lost to sea. For the golf enthusiasts there is a golf club at Halesworth and Southwold. A visit to the UK’s only camel park, just 9 miles away is worth a visit.

Our stay at this cottage was absolutely perfect in every way. The home itself is full of charm, beautifully maintained, thoughtfully furnished, and instantly welcoming. Its location couldn’t be better: just a short stroll to the village amenities, lovely antique shops, cosy pubs, a great local wine shop and some truly stunning beaches. It struck the ideal balance of comfort, character, and convenience. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to unwind, and we’re already looking forward to returning. Highly recommended.

Lynn and George were the most amazing hosts - meeting us at the cottage and providing us with a hamper full of local food and drinks, with dairy free options too! The cottage was spotles, beautifully designed and everything was to such a high standard!! We loved every minute of staying there, cannot recommend it enough and hope to come back and stay again soon!! Hannah & Kieron
