Had just spent our first Christmas get away at The paddocks. To say it was one of the best, would be an understatement. From our arrival to departure was an absolute pleasure. On arrival the house was warmed with heating already on and all decorated with Christmas decor inside. The paddocks was fully equipped with a high standard of kitchen equipment, beautifully fluffed towels, crisp bedding, even down to fresh milk, tea bag’s and sugar all ready upon arrival if gasping after a long journey. The paddocks is beautifully decorated throughout. Outside has so much peaceful land to enjoy. All amenities was so easy to get to with only a short drive to them all. We shall defiantly be returning at any earliest convenience and we will most definitely be recommending to all family and friends.

We spent an extremely comfortable week in early October at the Paddocks. The setting is beautifully peaceful, away from traffic and surrounded by wildlife. We enjoyed many walks in the adjacent Mutford Woods, returning to the warmth and comfort of the house. Although we were looking forward to using the wood-burner, the house was so cosy with underfloor heating, we didn’t feel chilly enough to use it. Plus, we were blessed with some sunny days we could sit out on the patio and enjoy our surroundings, even in October! We were close to all amenities in Lowestoft, near to the Broads and the beaches. We had a couple of fabulous dinners at the Swan Inn at Barnby (highly recommend) along with the dog. We also rustled up full roast dinners as the kitchen at the Paddocks was fabulously well-equipped. The whole house had been thoughtfully and comprehensively furnished. Glenn was there to show us around upon our arrival and responsive in the event of query during our stay. Highly recommended as a comfortable, peaceful place to recharge.
