Guests appreciate the well-equipped accommodation, dog-friendly facilities, and thoughtful touches such as welcome hampers. The property is ideally located for exploring local attractions and offers a relaxing retreat. While most reviews are highly positive, a few guests noted issues with cleaning standards and the wet room. Overall, the cottage is highly recommended for a cosy countryside escape.

Most guests found the property clean and well-presented, but a small number reported issues with cleanliness, particularly in the bathroom, kitchen, and general dusting. These negative experiences were not the norm but did impact the overall impression.

The cottage is widely described as spacious, comfortable, and cosy, with underfloor heating and a wood burner. Most guests found the beds and living areas comfortable, though a minority mentioned issues with bedding and temperature in the evenings.

Facilities are generally considered excellent, with well-equipped kitchens, dog-friendly amenities, and access to grounds. Some minor issues were noted, such as low water pressure and a wet room that took time to dry, but these did not detract significantly from the overall experience.

The Cart Shed has been thoughtfully furnished throughout with many hand-crafted items adorning the property. The cottage has been lovingly renovated over a period of time by the current owners who are as keen on the exterior appearance as the interior, with landscaped grounds which guests are free to wander and enjoy. The owners, who live next door, have a smallholding with a variety of animals including pigs, geese, chickens and bees, as well as the owners’ two friendly dogs that may want to greet you. The local restaurant and pub is within walking distance.
