About this property

Nestled in a truly tranquil setting in the Wye Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in the charming village of Peterstow, Herefordshire is the breath-taking Pengethley Manor House. This historic, Grade II listed, white-washed holiday home benefits from ample off-road parking, a large rear garden with lawn, patio, furniture and shared access to a refreshing outdoor swimming pool and hot tub, and eleven spectacular bedrooms which boast sleek and handy en-suites; the ultimate setting for families or friends looking to catch up, make memories and explore Herefordshire. Cross the threshold into the grand entrance hallway which branches into the welcoming sitting area where you can lounge in front of the warmth of the open fire, or alternatively, head into the fully-equipped kitchen to help whip up a delicious meal for the whole group with the help of the electric range cooker. Gather the group in either of the dining rooms to sample your culinary creations before separating to take advantage of all the house has to offer; make yourself at home in the bar area which is fitted with a billiards table and an open fire, or step outside to savour the last of the summer sun with a glass of wine and watch as the kids splash in the pool. When sleep calls, find nine super-king-size (zip/link) bedrooms on the first floor which all have en-suites as well as two sumptuous four poster king-size bedrooms with en-suites. Make cherished memories at Pengethley Manor House.

The community is ideally located for a variety of hikes and bike excursions, with the Herefordshire Trail and the Wye Valley Walk both being easily accessible. There are several Tudor timbered houses in Ross-on-Wye, as well as a 17th-century market hall, unique shops, and bars and restaurants. You can also take a stroll along the River Wye, go on a tranquil river cruise, or take in the scenery from a hot-air balloon. Close by is England's largest oak woodland, the Royal Forest of Dean, where you can go on beautiful walks, bike rides, abseils, and canoe trips. Hereford, with its interesting Mappa Mundi world map and chained library, Hay-on-Wye, known as "the town of books," Ledbury, with its many food and drink festivals, and the majestic Black Mountains and picturesque Brecon Beacons National Park are all easily accessible.
