Spaciously spread over two floors, Spire View comfortably accommodates up six guests in three double bedrooms. The ground floor boasts a formal living room and a large dining room, and both are bright, stylish and great for entertaining. There is also a fully equipped kitchen that includes a an Aga and a small breakfast area. To the rear of the ground floor, you will also find a utility/boot room, great for washing down muddy boots and paws after a day out in the Herefordshire countryside. An enclosed landscaped garden also provides some lovely outdoor space to enjoy those long summer days. Why not fire up the barbecue and pour the Pimms for dinner a lfresco. On the first floor, guests can choose from three double bedrooms, and a luxurious bathroom features a roll-top bath.
Beyond your lovely abode is a plethora of wonderful places to visit. On the outskirts of Wilton, within a short drive are Hereford and Gloucester, and about an hour’s drive are Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff and Cheltenham.
When visiting Ross-on-Wye, no trip would be complete without a visit to Symonds Yat, a magical spot on the River Wye. Start at the top of the rock for panoramic views and breathtaking scenery. Stroll down through the woodland to reach the water’s edge to enjoy a yummy pub lunch. If you don’t have your own canoe or kayak, why not hire one and paddle your way down the Wye?

Although we cant fault this cottage inside, it is beautifully decorated and has almost everything you need (minis a can opener)and the local pubs that are in walking distance were great. But we were extremely disappointed with the garden. I spend hours on the internet searching for a garden that I can sit in whilst on holiday as this is my priority. We love the outdoors and being able to share time together outside but Spire view did not meet the expectation that were shown and written in the description. Not only is everything over grown but we were in shock to find the outdoor seating was broken, leaving only enough room for 2 (at a push 3) people. Nothing else was provided for us to sit on and after looking in the garden shed, we did find part of the broken outdoor seating so they clearly knew it wasnt available for us to use. This is not good enough for a family of 6 which is stated in their description. We felt deflated as something weve looked forward to all year was crushed within seconds of getting into the property. The back door key has to be jiggled to open which in a fire this wouldnt be safe and the down pipe is also rotten which ment each time you used the bath, dirty water would spill on to the patio. The garden itself is covered in thorns from a tree that is dead meaning my son burst 2 footballs during our stay. The garden isnt family friendly at all. As for the picture of the house shown, it looks nothing like this from the outside. Everything is over grown, paths and even a gate to the side where you should be able to leave from, without having to open heavy car gates( which are also broken) to leave the property. The house is up for sale which makes us believe that the care for the property has just gone. This is such a shame as if the outdoor space was as described we would of returned with everything being so close and in walking distance. I dont usually write bad reviews but I needed people to know this cottage garden isnt at all what is advertised.

Super house with all that you could need. Only 10 minute walk into Ross on Wye to restaurants and bars. Great location to explore Wye Valley and Forest of Dean.

So handy to get about. At spire view you have the opportunity to get anywhere. This house is amazing comfortable and clean. It has everything you need. 5 stars.
