The Stable in Ross-on-Wye is a well-received holiday cottage, praised for its stunning location, dog-friendly environment, and friendly hosts. Guests appreciate the peaceful setting by the river, the well-equipped kitchen, and the comfortable furnishings. The large garden and proximity to local attractions add to the charm of this rural retreat. While some minor maintenance issues are noted, the overall sentiment is positive, with many guests expressing a desire to return.
Most guests found the cottage to be clean and cosy, with only a few mentioning the need for a bit more attention to detail, such as window cleanliness and cobwebs. The positive remarks far outweigh the negatives, leading to a high cleanliness score.
The location is highly praised for its beauty, tranquillity, and convenience for exploring Herefordshire and Monmouthshire. The proximity to the river, local walks, and attractions like the Forest of Dean and Symonds Yat make it an ideal base for holidaymakers.
Guests consistently describe the beds as comfortable and the cottage as cosy and well-suited for relaxation. Some guests note that space might be tight for four adults, but overall, the comfort level is rated highly.
The cottage offers a range of facilities that guests find very good, including a well-equipped kitchen and large outdoor space. However, some guests mention issues with the shower and suggest that certain aspects could benefit from updating or maintenance.
While some guests mention receiving gifts such as wine, Easter eggs, and a Christmas tree, these are not consistently referenced across the reviews. As such, it is not possible to accurately score thoughtfulness based on the available information, and the score is set to null. Guests should note that such gestures, while appreciated, are not guaranteed.

A large garden for our dog to explore. The kitchen was well stocked with kitchen implements etc. The owner had left Easter eggs, along with milk, tra and coffee, which was a lovely suprise.

Lovely cottage, needs some updating decor wise and floorboards are very squeaky. Just needs abit of work inside maintenance but these things are easily fixed and did not affect our holiday. Jane is lovely and her dog is so friendly. We will definitely book again!
