Guests say

The Stable in Ross-on-Wye is a well-received cottage, praised for its comfortable furnishings, stunning location, and dog-friendly environment. Guests appreciate the warm welcome, including occasional gifts, and the secure garden. While some minor criticisms exist, such as the need for a hairdryer and maintenance issues, the overall sentiment is positive, with many guests looking forward to returning.

Most guests found the cottage clean and well-maintained, though a few noted areas needing attention, such as windows and cobwebs. The positive remarks suggest a high level of cleanliness overall.

The location is highly praised for its tranquillity, proximity to attractions, and beautiful surroundings, including a river and green countryside. It's considered an excellent base for exploring the Wye Valley and nearby towns.

Guests consistently mention the comfort of the cottage, highlighting comfortable beds and furnishings. The peaceful environment contributes to the overall comfort, making it a restful retreat.

The facilities are generally well-regarded, with a well-equipped kitchen and spacious garden. However, some guests experienced issues with the shower and fishing facilities, and there were comments about the need for maintenance and updates.

Guests often felt welcomed by thoughtful touches such as fresh eggs and a bottle of wine. While these gestures are appreciated, it's important to note that such gifts are offered at the hosts' discretion and may not be a consistent amenity for all stays.

A large garden for our dog to explore. The kitchen was well stocked with kitchen implements etc. The owner had left Easter eggs, along with milk, tra and coffee, which was a lovely suprise.

Lovely cottage, needs some updating decor wise and floorboards are very squeaky. Just needs abit of work inside maintenance but these things are easily fixed and did not affect our holiday. Jane is lovely and her dog is so friendly. We will definitely book again!
