The Hurstings in Bridgnorth receives glowing praise for its beautiful, peaceful location and well-equipped, spotless cottage. Guests highlight the relaxing atmosphere, excellent amenities, and thoughtful touches from the owner, making it ideal for families and dog owners alike. The hot tub and views of the viaduct are particular favourites. While a few mention minor issues such as the uncovered hot tub in colder months and some challenging walks into town, the overall experience is overwhelmingly positive, with many guests eager to return.

Multiple reviews describe the property as spotless and very clean, with no negative comments regarding cleanliness.

The location is frequently praised for its beauty, tranquillity, and proximity to Bridgnorth and local attractions. A few guests mention the walk into town can be challenging due to overgrown paths, but this does not detract significantly from the overall positive impression.

Guests consistently mention the cottage is comfortable, homely, and well-suited for families and pets. Beds and bathrooms are described as excellent, though one review notes the main bathroom layout may be awkward for some.

The cottage is described as very well equipped, with a fully stocked kitchen, hot tub, and thoughtful extras. Minor suggestions include more cutlery and plates, and a couple of comments about the DVD player and hot tub cover.

Guests frequently mention the owner's helpfulness, welcome gifts, and special touches such as Christmas decorations and provisions for children and dogs. Please note that gifts and extras are not guaranteed for every stay.

This Is a lovely 2 bedroom cottage situated under a striking viaduct. The outside space is quiet and picturesque and has great views. The cottage is very clean and has a great layout downstairs. There is a log burner hot tub which at first I thought would be a faff. However once you actually sit down and read the instructions it's really straight forward. Open a bottle of wine, enjoy the view and wait to heat up. The cottage is situated about 15 mins walk from Bridgnorth however if you have a dog you can't use the road as there is no pavement for about 300 yards and it's too busy. The alternative is to use the river path which at first is uneven and overgrown but after 5 mins of that, it's clear and a lovely walk in. You can also walk your dog if you go under the viaduct as there are lovely quiet paths and small stream too. We loved this cottage but my only issue were the bathrooms. There is a bath with handheld shower in the main bedroom but the ceiling line makes it difficult to get in and out of. The other shower is en suite too but is really small. I recommend having a bath in the hot tub. Just kidding. Parking is great and even though there is a tea room with parking next door it still felt private and is shut after 15.00 anyway. I can't believe I've never been to Bridgnorth it's a great town with loads of great pubs and people. Loved it.

This cottage was one of the best dog-friendly cottages we have stayed in. It was in an ideal setting for a relaxing holiday. The cottage was comfortable and very well equipped with everything you could possibly need. The extra touches left by Anne, the owner were very much appreciated. We were affected by the extreme heatwave and Anne dropped off a fan to help to cool the cottage. A lovely tearoom was located very close by that provided lovely food to both eat-in or take-away. The cottage was situated in a central place to explore Shropshire. The nearby town of Bridgnorth was less than 10 minutes away and had lots of dog friendly places to shop and eat. There was a wide range of both local and chain retail shops to choose from. Most of the nearby towns had weekly markets selling lovely local produce. We are definitely returning to this cottage for a longer holiday as there was so much we didn’t have time to see.
