Located in North Shropshire, within the village of Pentre, a perfect location to access walking direct from your door, choosing to stroll around the fields or venture further afield to explore the surrounding areas.
The national cycle route 81 is close by, and within a five-minute drive lies Nesscliffe Hills and the Cliffe Countryside Heritage Site. Home to a 70-hectare area of mixed woodland and heathland to explore; that’s about the size of 140 football pitches! There is a wealth of historical features and wildlife on the site and an extensive network of paths to explore. Ten miles away is Shrewsbury, full of finds to be discovered by foot or by boat, the café culture, farmer’s market, the castle and the churches that dominate Shrewsbury’s famous skyline are a must see. Oswestry, where Shropshire meets Wales and only 11 miles away. It’s an ancient Shropshire market town, so close to Wales that you can enjoy exploring both sides of the border. Wherever your mood takes you, there is something for everyone here. With, castles, farmers markets and countryside all available locally, there are endless amounts of activities to choose from. Fantastic stay at this outstanding property. We were gobsmacked when we arrived to the spacious, quiet, well equipped place. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well equipped, the grounds were stunning. We appreciated the home made delicious cake, milk, eggs and crisps on arrival. Our cocker spaniel definitely enjoyed the outside area. Best hot tub we have ever been in. Morrisons delivered a food shop to us which was useful as the shops are a 15 min drive away. The location is remote but that’s what we like. There was a pub in walking distance which served lovely drinks.

We recently stayed at Buckley Farm Barn 1 and had such a wonderful time. The accommodation is absolutely stunning — beautifully finished and incredibly comfortable throughout. The kitchen was a real highlight for us; it’s extremely well equipped with everything you could possibly need, which made cooking and spending time together really enjoyable.The hot tub was fantastic — perfect for relaxing in the evenings and taking in the peaceful surroundings. The location is also ideal, set on a small working farm which adds to the charm and tranquillity. It feels wonderfully rural, yet you’re only 15–30 minutes’ drive from Shrewsbury, Oswestry and plenty of other great days out.We wouldn’t hesitate to return and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing countryside escape.
