Lovely comfortable cottage. Tastefully decorated with beautiful window in one bedroom letting in lots of light, which is wonderful. Very comfortable with all amenities. Plenty of parking. Just across the road there’s a towpath and it is easy to walk into the village or carry on to The Plough at Huddlesford. Whittington village is lovely with lots of amenities, two pubs and a cafe which are all dog friendly. Easy to walk into Whittington to catch a bus to Lichfield or Tamworth. The cottage is quiet even though it’s next to a road as the road is not busy. There is a gate into the property with a code to be able to get in and it’s very secure. We were visiting friends as we used to live nearby. If we visited Lichfield again, we would definitely stay here again for sure.

What a stunning property in a picturesque location. The owners are thoughtful and go above and beyond for their guests. We had the most wonderful week at Lizzie’s Old Barn, every little detail had been thought of and we needn’t have brought anything with us other than our clothing.The village is gorgeous, the local pub, The Dog Inn is fab, great food and even better service.Ideal location to stay with lots of towns, villages and cities to visit nearby. Our dogs were welcomed and also had the best time, we were given use of the paddock when the horses were not using it which was welcomed for morning pooches playtime. We most definitely recommend this property and the fantastic owners. We look forward to returning!!
