A stunning detached quirky cottage, which used to be the old Pump Engine House for the Water Tower which supplied water to Chillington Hall and its farm buildings. Offering luxurious accommodation.. 1 step to entrance.

One pet welcome, to be kept on lead at all times. No smoking.. The Pump House has been transformed into an amazing holiday home that provides excellent quality, superb furnishings and beautiful views over some of the estate land. The estate itself lies on the Staffordshire/Shropshire borders, providing a good base from which to discover both areas.
Guests are able to explore some of the private grounds of the Hall or the many public footpaths and bridleways that cross the 4000-acre estate (maps provided on arrival). On certain days of the year, the grounds are opened up to the public so they can explore the beautiful Hall, the Capability Brown landscaped Park, Lake and Woodlands.
Attractions nearby include Penkridge Wharf and The Shropshire Union Canal, the RAF Museum at Cosford, The Potteries, Ironbridge Gorge Museum, Dudley Zoological Gardens, Stafford Castle, National Sea Life Centre and the Hoo Farm Animal Kingdom. Birmingham is just 30 minutes’ away, with train services running from Codsall, just 2½ miles away. With the historic towns of Ludlow and Worcester within easy driving distance, it truly is a perfect base.

A lovely place. However, the floor wasn’t very clean and the settee had dog fur on it. The fridge also froze lots of our food including all of our potatoes. The Pump House has the potential to be amazing.The staff were fab and were quick to help when I pointed out that I was allergic to feathers and changed the duvet.The walks were amazing. We have found very few places where we have literally been able to open our garden gate and walk in the countryside. I loved the fact that we could go for long walks without the need of our car. The garden is delightful and a lovely size. We appreciated the table and chairs and ate our meals outside in the sunshine. The garden was enclosed keeping our little doggie happy and safe We enjoyed our week at The Pump House and with a few changes we would stay again.

We did not realise the pump house was so far from everywhere & the lanes were dreadful to it full of potholes & put us off going out muchThe cottage was ok , not cosy & a very small television which was quite far from the seating. The cooking facilities were plentiful but would not use the oven as was very dirty, it hasn't been cleaned for some time.Overall it was value for money but maybe needs younger fitter walkers than we are to enjoy the solitude it gives

Quiet and relaxing location, surrounded by wildlife. Cottage was well equipped, comfortable and clean. We had a very enjoyable holiday at The Pump House.
