About this property

1 Dingle Cottage sits quietly within the rolling Worcestershire countryside, a thoughtfully renovated retreat that feels both rooted in tradition and carefully refreshed for modern living. Ideal for friends or families craving fresh air and slower mornings, this characterful cottage celebrates its heritage while offering a warm, welcoming place to return to after days spent exploring lanes, hills and historic towns. From the moment you arrive, you will be met by exposed beams and ornamental fireplaces that nod to the cottage’s past, while underfloor heating on the ground floor adds a gentle touch of modern indulgence. A welcoming hallway leads you into the heart of the home, where an open-plan living space brings everyone together.

Here, the woodburning stove becomes a natural gathering point on cooler evenings, the kitchen is fully fitted for everything from leisurely breakfasts to home-cooked suppers, and the dining table invites long conversations that stretch well into the night. Tucked away beyond, a second lounge offers a peaceful corner for reading or quiet reflection, while the adjoining boot room provides a practical space for muddy boots, coats and canine companions after countryside adventures. Upstairs, the cottage continues its calm, considered feel. Two inviting bedrooms offer restful spaces to recharge, one featuring a flexible king-size zip and link bed and the other a welcoming double.

A sleek shower room completes the floor, finished with a rainfall shower that feels wonderfully refreshing after a day outdoors. Outside, the mature garden is a pleasure to spend time in, with lawn and established shrubs creating a sense of privacy and connection to the surrounding landscape. After walking through fields and footpaths, the handy dog wash at the front of the property makes returning home easy and fuss-free. Beyond the cottage, Worcestershire opens up with a wide variety. Worcester invites you to explore its striking cathedral, delve into history at The Commandery, or enjoy gentle walks through Gheluvelt Park. Kidderminster offers the nostalgia of the Severn Valley Railway, family days out at West Midland Safari Park, and green open space at Brinton Park.

Further afield, the Malvern Hills reward walkers with sweeping views, while Malvern Theatre and the Morgan Motor Company visitor centre add culture and craftsmanship to your itinerary. 1 Dingle Cottage offers a characterful base for discovering the best of Worcestershire, where heritage, countryside, and memorable days out come together with ease.

Holt is an attractive Georgian market town approximately five miles from the North Norfolk coast. The town offers a vibrant centre with interesting shops, eateries and a labyrinth of narrow lanes and courtyards with flint and painted cottages. On the edge of the town is the 'Poppy Line' heritage railway where you can take a steam train along a picturesque route to Sheringham, while Holt Country Park offers 100 acres of woodland with picnic area, nature trails and adventure playground for all the family to enjoy. Visit nearby Letheringsett Mill, Norfolk's only flour producing watermill, or travel just five miles from Holt to the beautiful North Norfolk coast with its lovely coastal villages. Within easy travelling distance are National Trust Sheringham Park, Felbrigg Hall and Blickling Hall, the seaside towns of Sheringham and Cromer and the city of Norwich.
