The Bolt Hole is a cosy and quiet cottage praised for its superb location in Broadway, offering a comfortable bed and convenient parking. While compact, it provides a pleasant courtyard and is well-regarded for its clever use of space. Some guests noted areas for improvement in cleanliness and maintenance, but overall, the property is recommended for a stay.
Cleanliness has been highlighted as an area needing improvement, with some guests noting issues with dust, fluff, and a greasy baking sheet. However, the bed was described as very comfortable, suggesting that not all aspects of cleanliness were compromised.
The location is highly praised for being quiet and central, with easy access to Broadway's centre and nearby trails. The convenience of the location is a consistent positive across reviews.
The cottage is generally considered comfortable, especially the bed, but some guests mentioned the heat in the bedroom and the small size of the shower. The property is cosy for two, suggesting a snug but pleasant stay.
Facilities are adequate with a well-utilised space, though guests have pointed out issues such as non-working lamps, lack of ovenware, and a need for better instructions for appliances. The absence of a dishwasher, despite being told to bring tablets, was also noted.
There is no mention of gifts or special thoughtful touches provided by the host in the reviews, therefore it is not possible to assess this category.
Hidden in a quiet corner of Broadway's High Street, this gorgeous and romantic retreat offers a perfect option for a couple looking to enjoy some peace and quiet in one of the Cotswolds most attractive villages. Located down a little private pathway, this delightful little barn conversion offers smart, cleverly designed self catering accommodation that is stylish and appealing. The ground floor has a Living Room and galley kitchen - well equipped indeed, while upstairs is a sweet bedroom in the eaves. Outside is an enclosed, private courtyard garden which faces south and is a bit of a sun trap. What really got us excited though, was the location, as it is rare to find a cottage like this at the 'top' of the High Street, which means you are in the prime spot, surrounded by stunning Cotswolds buildings and very much in the heart of quintessential England. So sweet you could eat it!
The charming village of Broadway, known as 'The Jewel of the Cotswolds', nestles beneath the Worcestershire hills. This quintessential English village, one of the most beautiful in the Cotswolds, offers a superb range of unique shops and boutiques, galleries and restaurants, but is also steeped in history with its origins dating back to Roman times. The world-renowned Lygon Arms has been popular for centuries, and now spa facilities can be enjoyed at pre-arranged times. Broadway serves as a great base for exploring the Cotswolds and surrounds with Stratford-upon-Avon, Cheltenham Spa and Worcester within easy reach.

Comfortable and clean with lots of character. The court yard is large a real sheltered sun trap with table and chairs and a wooden bench. Itâs situated just off the high street in a peaceful part of the beautiful town of Broadway.

While small, it had everything we needed, was clean, super-comfy, very very quiet, in short - we loved it. Its location through the small alleyway meant that one would not hear a single noice at night, heaven. Heating worked a treat, and the shower -while small - was nice and hot. Parking a super bonus! Wifi ok for your general Social Media checks. Communcation with Greg was easy and swift, we can really recommend this property and would love to return.

The cottage is very cosy for two people but wouldn't be suitable for any more than two. The kitchen is basic but has all the facilities you need. Nice cosy lounge with TV but could do with blinds or something at the windows, as people can look straight in as they walk past the property. The batroom has a shower which is small but adequate but the water takes forever to drain out of the sink. The bed is comfortable and the bedroom snug and compact. All in all, a good property in a great location and we would be happy to recommend a stay here.
