The Hideout at the Hermit Inn is delightful - clean, comfortable, airy and well laid out. There were 4 of us staying, plus Labrador, and we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay without ever feeling as though we were under each others feet. The views from the bedroom window were amazing too!But the highlight of our stay was the truly delightful, engaged, warm and professional service we received from everyone at The Hermit Inn - through showing us where the key safe and apartment was, to dinner that night and then breakfast the next morning. Everyone was cheerful, smiling, incredibly helpful and polite - they made our stay twice as enjoyable and I would heartily recommend both the Hideout and The Hermit as somewhere you should go and stay if you're in the area.

Our third stay at the Hideout and it was as comfortable as ever. Being on the moor it is not as convenient a location but the setting is amazing and worth the extra drive. Lots of space, comfy beds, views to die for. Can be a bit noisy at night while the pub is open but quietens down quickly. Oven is a bit funky - par for the course for a combination microwave/oven - and I only found the clothes horse at the end of the stay but these are minor points that did not affect the enjoyment of our stay

Lovely place to stay for us. Close to family in Burley yet beautifully located up the side of the valley. No noise from the pub in our Feb weekend stay. Clean, spacious and comfortable.
