The property is stone-built and has been completely renovated to offer superb holiday accommodation, which is furnished to a high standard. Care has been taken to retain its original charm and features include stone flagged floors and original beams. The owners live on a nearby working farm and personally welcome visitors.
Nestled in a peaceful valley of the Pennine Hills is the charming village of Lothersdale, just five miles from the market town of Skipton. At one time, this lovely little town was home to the famous writer, Charlotte Bronte, who went on to base Gateshead Hall from her novel âJane Eyre' on Stone Gappe House where she was governess. Many of the visitors today come to the village for its excellent walking routes as it is situated along the Pennine Way - on the stretch from Cowling to Gargrave. The village pub is well worth visiting and serves food whilst the nearby town of Skipton provides an excellent range of amenities. Just a short drive away is the town of Haworth, the Bronte's home and the famous Worth Valley Steam Railway.

It truly feels like a âhome from homeâ and is perfect for a chilled holiday. Lots of room to sit and relax either inside or outside and it is accessed by a farm track/bridle way so no passing traffic apart from a few walkers and the occasional horse rider or mountain biker. This was our third visit and Iâve just booked again for next year, which tells you all you really need to know.

Location,property,views communication with James and Julie excellent.everything was 10/10 . Family of 7 adults 3 children and 2 dogs . Absolutely perfect weekend we even got a beautiful gift of flowers homemade cake & marmalade plus a box of Yorkshire teabags

We'll equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, enough seating for all ten of us dining and lounging. As the weather was wet we made use of the compendium of games and had a great weekend. The owner's made us very welcome and we're available for any queries.
