Guests say

Waterside Lodge One offers a beautifully clean and well-equipped retreat, ideal for families, friends, and dog owners. Guests praise the peaceful canal-side location, spacious layout, and relaxing hot tub. The kitchen is well stocked, and staff are friendly and helpful. While some mention minor issues such as limited storage, soft beds, and occasional communication delays, the overall experience is highly positive, with many guests eager to return.

Multiple reviews highlight the spotless condition of the lodge, clean bathrooms, and well-maintained hot tub. Only one mention of a dishwasher with broken glasses slightly detracts from an otherwise excellent record.

The peaceful setting by the canal and proximity to local walks and attractions are frequently praised. One guest noted the entrance could be better marked, but overall, the location is considered a major asset.

Guests find the lodge spacious and relaxing, with comfortable beds and ample bathrooms. Some mention soft beds and limited storage in bedrooms, but these are minor compared to the overall comfort experienced.

The lodge is described as very well equipped, with a well-stocked kitchen, hot tub, and thoughtful amenities. Minor issues include heating in winter and a stair gate that did not fit properly, but these are outweighed by the positive feedback.

Guests appreciated little touches such as tea, coffee, washing up liquid, and logs for the wood burner. Please note that these thoughtful extras are not guaranteed for every stay.

Lodge was lovely, really well equipped. Very clean and had everything we needed for our family weekend. The hot tub was clean and well looked after. Location looking over the canal very relaxing.Lady appeared at the door soon after we arrived and offered to show us how everything worked which was useful and we knew we could contact should we have needed anything.Only downside for us was the weather but nothing to be done about that but will look to revisit when the weather is nicer 😀
