The cottage itself was lovely; warm, well equipped and very comfortable. The small rear garden was safe and more than adequate for our dog with plenty of walks on hand. The village had a phone box book library, convenience store and a pub with an Indian restaurant attached each within 2 minutes walk. Another local pub did full English breakfasts by a log fire. A lovely short break.

The cottage is set in such a wonderful village with everything you need, a couple pubs, a shop, restaurant, and a cafe. The people in the village are so welcoming and friendly and there are endless beautiful walks right from your doorstep. Bumble cottage has everything you need to make your stay feel just like home - but better! The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need, plus the staples like an oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge and hob (You can find an additional fridge/freezer and washing machine in the basement). The lounge is very comfortable and has plenty of board games and a smart TV for those days when you want to relax. There is a lot of room for you to put down your dog bed and bowls (and even enough room to store their endless treats, balls, and toys) The sofa even has a blanket on it so that your dog can join you. The back garden is shared access, but has a gate and is secure. We were able to open the back door and let ours wander out there without fearing he could escape. Upstairs is just as well thought out and accommodating and downstairs. The bed is super comfortable and there are a range of pillows to cater to your preference. Each room has a motion sensor night light, storage, and an ample selection of towels for you to use too. The bathroom is stunning and exceptionally clean, you have to try out the jacuzzi bath during your stay as it is such a treat! Overall, our stay at Bumble Cottage was incredible. We really felt that we could relax and unwind there. The hosts were exceptional and kept in touch over text to ensure we were settled and had everything we needed. Netherthong is so quiet which we absolutely loved, yet we were really close the Holmfirth and the Peak District for when we wanted to venture out and explore. Parking is not directly outside the cottage but there is ample parking spaces available just down the road, no more than a 1 min walk away and we never struggled. Thank you to Rob and Maria for being such caring hosts and for letting us stay in your beautiful cottage. We can't wait to come back in April.

We particularly liked the heated wall in the entrance hall that kept coats warm. The only (minor) comment I would add is that it would be useful to have somewhere to dry towels.
