About this property

Settle 2.6 miles. Tucked away in Stainforth near Settle, North Yorkshire is this lovely three-bedroom barn conversion, Stepping Stones Barn. Taking its name from its superb location next to the renowned Stepping Stones in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, Stepping Stones Barn is an excellent choice for a group or family of six. Upon arrival you will find an off-road parking space and a pretty garden which leads down to the stream and with a shed for bike storage. Step into the reverse-level property, where you will find three tastefully decorated bedrooms on the ground floor, two doubles and a twin, all of which have access to the contemporary bathroom. You will also find a handy cupboard housing all your laundry necessities. Upstairs, you will find a light and airy open-plan living space, featuring a well-equipped kitchen for rustling up your best dishes, ready to savour at the dining table for six, and an inviting sitting area with plush seating and a TV. Explore the village, where you can treat your loved ones to a well-deserved meal at the Craven Heirfer, enjoy leisurely walks along the River Ribble or hike up to the beautiful Catrigg Force. For a wider selection of amenities, head to Settle, where you can tour The Museum of North Craven Life, wander through The Listening Gallery, sample local ales at Settle Brewing, stock up on essentials at the convenience stores, or dine at the popular Falcon Manor Restaurant. Venture further into the National Park with a trip to Malham, where you can explore the natural wonders of Malham Cove, Gordale Scar and Janet’s Foss. Further afield, you’ll find Skipton, home to a remarkable castle and the Yorkshire Dales Food & Drink Festival, here you can picnic in Aireville Park, enjoy the delights of Raven Tree Top Adventure, test out your swing at the excellent Skipton Golf Club, or hike through the lush Skipton Castle Woods. Your adventure to the Yorkshire Dales begins at Stepping Stones Barn.

Nestled near the greatest outcrop of limestone in Britain — an area of scars, cliffs, caverns, and potholes — the lively market town of Settle is located at the south-western edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, among some of the most magnificent landscape in North Yorkshire. On Tuesdays, locals and visitors alike may browse the many kiosks in Settle's central plaza that sell anything from handmade jewellery to fresh produce. The Shambles, a historic three-story structure with stores on the first two floors and homes on the upper floors, and the Town Hall stand in the middle of the market place and dominate the area. Numerous eating and drinking establishments, as well as a public pool, can be found here. The Victoria Hall hosts a variety of events and performances throughout the year, including folk evenings. Some of the most breathtaking and awe-inspiring highland landscape in the country may be seen along the famed Settle-Carlisle Railway. Skipton and Malham, both in the Dales, are conveniently close. Other local natural features include Malham Cove and Gordale Scar. Settle is a convenient home base for exploring the Dales, Lake District, and Forest of Bowland, all of which are known for their beautiful scenery and many hiking opportunities.
