It's also close to the Yorkshire Dales, meaning you'll be able to enjoy fantastic walks and visit some of the best attractions the area has to offer. After parking in the off-road parking space, head into this quaint dwelling and explore the kitchen that is packed with amenities for cooking up a hearty family meal, as it boasts an electric oven, induction hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, and a washing machine and a dishwasher. Settle is a historic market town in North Yorkshire, situated close to the Forest of Bowland, the Lake District and the Peak District, this makes it the perfect location for guests who want to wander the countryside and take in all it has to offer. The town is within easy reach of the busy market town Skipton and the village of Malham which is home to the stunning scenery of Malham Cove and Gordale Scar. Settle is home to several attractions, including Stainforth Force, Scaleber Force Waterfall and The Museum of North Craven Life which is ideal for those interested in local history and heritage. Be sure to treat yourself to a meal at one of a number of restaurants and bars in the town, including The Golden Lion and Matteo's Settle Italian Restaurant, indulge in these on the nights you don’t fancy cooking. Top House is a fantastic choice for a North Yorkshire break.
The bustling market town of Settle lies at the south west rim of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, nestled beside the largest outcrop of limestone in Britain - a region of scars, cliffs, caves and potholes - amongst some of the most picturesque scenery in North Yorkshire. Tuesday is market day in Settle, when the square is filled with stalls offering a wide variety of crafts and goods. The market place is surrounded by local businesses, the centre being dominated by The Shambles, a historic three storey building with shops on two levels and houses above, and the Town Hall. There is a good selection of restaurants and pubs and a public swimming pool. The Victoria Hall has entertainment and other activities such as folk nights throughout the year. The famous Settle-Carlisle Railway crosses some of the most beautiful and inspiring upland scenery in the country. Natural attractions such as Malham Cove and Gordale Scar are within easy reach, as are the nearby Dales towns of Skipton and Malham. Settle is in the midst of excellent walking country and is a good base for touring the Dales, the Lake District and the Forest of Bowland.

From start to finish there was no fault with any thing in the cottage. It was comfortable,clean and the feeling in the cottage was peaceful and enlightening. Had a wonderful tranquil stay there and sorry to come home. Thank you to the owners for the welcome items,biscuits were quickly devoured by my husband and the Prosecco went down a treat to help celebrate my husbandâs 75th Birthday Thank you
