Close by, you can discover the 14th century ruins of the National Trust's Mount Grace Priory, as well as Roseberry topping or Sutton Bank, while the market towns of Northallerton and Thirsk offer excellent shopping facilities, weekly markets, cobbled market squares and quaint alleyways lined with cosy tearooms and delicatessens. The nearby market towns of Northallerton, Stokesley, Helmsley, Thirsk and Ripon with its famous racecourse, have cobbled market squares, quaint little alleyways awash with cosy tearooms and lovely delicatessens, all offering excellent shopping and weekly markets.
