Footpaths head off in all directions straight from the cottage door - you can walk for hours without retracing your steps. The village holds traditional events throughout the year, including a May Fair and Bonfire Night, both on the green, giving you an authentic taste of Dales community life. The three peaks—Pen-y-ghent, Whernside, and Ingleborough—are all accessible to serious hikers. The garden and terrace patio is something special - those views across to Bolton Castle are absolutely stunning, especially at sunset when the light catches the old stone. Outdoor seating means you can have morning coffee or evening drinks outside, and it's the kind of spot where you'll find yourself spending more time than you expected. There is a barbecue and outdoor games to make the most of long summer evenings. The cottage has parking for two cars and an EV charger.
