We have just returned from a wonderful week-long stay at the Barn House. We were tackling the Dales section of the Coast to Coast path and the cottage was the perfect base from which to do so. The house is warm, well-equipped and located just outside the centre of Hawes, meaning everything in the town was accessible on foot. The house itself was spacious enough for all eight of us, and the couple who were managing the site during our week could not have been more helpful! An unfortunate issue with the hot water was quickly and efficiently resolved as well. The cottage has no garden, but nor does it need one as the campsite is beautiful and Hawes is in the heart of the Dales. We would unquestionably stay here again and we cannot recommend the Barn House highly enough! Thank you so much Nicola and your very helpful husband!

Fab stay at the Barn. Very clean and way more spacious than the photos look. Excellent location with added surprise of the 'pawnine way' dog field and the games room next door.We could have done with a few spare mugs/cutlery. When the place caters for 8 i understand the crockery limit but it would be great to have a few spare items as we had my aunty come and have dinner with us and we couldn't give her a knife and fork 🙈 some salt/pepper and a few basic essentials would have been fab. Overall though we loved it! The lack of a garden was not noticeable as the dales more than make up for that.

Property great.Heating system needs attention. Even with the thermostat off, the radiators still came on in the middle of the night. The timer was locked away in a cupboard which we could not access. The toilet cistern in each bathroom had to be flushed numerous times to get rid of the waste, the cisterns were not filling up with enough water. Other than that, the Property was very well furnished and the kitchen had everything you would need.
