There is a well-decorated double bedroom with fabulous views, TV and kingsize bed. The shower room is well finished and perfectly situated between the bedroom and the boot room area, which make a great spot for washing down dirty paws or walking boots. Ideal for a quiet and romantic break away, there are many pubs, restaurants and cafés within easy walking distance, which are all well-known for serving good quality local food and produce.
Once home to Richard III and known in former times as the ’Windsor of the North’, the ruins of Middleham Castle are certainly worth a visit. Perfect for walkers, cyclists and ramblers too, guests will find an abundance of established public footpaths, cycle paths and bridleways that lead directly from the doorstep of Brandy’s Barn and out through the surrounding fields towards and through the Wensleydale Dales and beyond. Walkers will find themselves on a journey through heather covered grouse moors, open countryside, natural woodland and pretty little Yorkshire villages.
Also the ideal destination for exploring the heart of North Yorkshire, guests will find plenty of excellent local attractions that are popular for all year round. Only 3 miles away from the traditional market town of Leyburn, guests will be able to visit the local chocolate museum, tea pottery and Tennants Auction House, as well as enjoying a browse around the weekly local farmers market.
The Forbidden Corner is also a must see and is situated just 4 miles away. This hidden folly offers twists and turns in all directions making it popular for adults as well as children. The Wensleydale Railway stops in Leyburn and will take guests on a journey through some of the most spectacular scenery of the Yorkshire Dales. Castle Bolton, Jervaulx Abbey and Wensleydale Creamery can also be reached within a very short drive and offer different attractions and events for different tastes. Shop, pub and restaurant ¼ mile.

Fantastic place to stay and we shall definitely return.Comfortable, well equipped with spectacular views.One suggestion : a firepit outside would be lovely to sit by in the evenings.

Beautiful location, so peaceful to relax. Local area very accsesable within a ten minute walk to the local shop tea room pubs and castle.Lovely to see horses being taken out for exercise and itwould be nice in the info pack clear info where your allowed to walk on the stables grounds.Bed so comfy .All in very restful location.

Lovely homely, comfortable cottage that has everything you need. Bed and sofas were very comfortable too after a busy day out. What would enhance our stay further would be some wire fencing attached to the wooden fence that surrounds the property. Although it states the garden is secure, and probably is for big dogs, our wirey Bedlington terrier was pretty determined to get into the surrounding fields and he was under the fence and off....He didnt get far though as fortunately he was on his extending lead...
