Carriage House in Leyburn is praised for its spaciousness, well-equipped kitchen, and beautiful, peaceful surroundings. Guests appreciate the property's character, lovely gardens, and dog-friendly environment. While some find the beds firm and the heating less effective, the charm of the village and the helpfulness of the hosts contribute to a relaxing and enjoyable stay.
The property is consistently described as clean and tidy, indicating a high standard of cleanliness that guests appreciate.
The location is highly regarded for its beauty, tranquillity, and proximity to local attractions, making it an excellent base for exploring the area.
While the single beds and overall accommodation are comfortable, several guests mention that the double bed is too firm and the heating is not very effective, which affects the overall comfort.
The property is well-equipped, particularly the kitchen, but some issues with the toaster, shower pressure, and Wi-Fi coverage are noted. Maintenance responds well to issues, such as replacing the toaster.
There are no mentions of gifts or special touches that would indicate the level of thoughtfulness, so it is not possible to provide a score in this category.

Great cottage, heating not very effective cold throughout. Shower poor pressure and cool temperature. Excellent location, great grounds and garden for the dog to explore. Parking great. Some fairly steep stairs to the cottage. Would defiantly come back, in the warmer weather.

Lovely accommodation and beautifully kept grounds. Set in quiet peaceful village. We came for a relaxing stay and got just that. We hope to visit again for more of the same. Many thanks.

We had a wonderful week at Carriage House in West Burton. The location is stunning, peaceful and close to many walks and places to visit. The many pros to this property are endles but some noteworthy ones are as follows: We loved the short walk to Cauldron Falls and proximity to Leyburn. The rooms are good sizes with lots of antique decor. The kitchen is very well equipped we cooked many meals with ease. The hosts are very helpful, lending us flour for a recipe and helping us with packages that went to the main house accidentally. Plus much more. There are many pros to this holiday home but the two cons are that the mattreses could do with changing, the master bedroom bed squeaks with every move so not best for light sleepers and they are quite lumpy. And secondly it should be noted that the WiFi doesnt cover the living room as it is at other side of the house the WiFi covers all other rooms though. Ultimately we had a delightful time and would recommend to others.
