Guests frequently describe the cottage as cosy, warm, and comfortable, with good beds and a welcoming atmosphere. A few mention initial coldness or firm mattresses, but most found it very comfortable overall.

The cottage is well-equipped, with a good kitchen, log burner, and sunroom. Some guests noted the lack of a washing machine, occasional heating or hot water issues, and minor maintenance needs, but these did not significantly impact their stay.

It’s a really lovely cottage, very comfy & clean although a few cobwebs, (cleaner just needs to put the light on when cleaning). Really well equipped kitchen, lovely bathroom, beds comfy although hubby found the mattress firm he still managed to snore. Had a power cut one afternoon & no hot water after that but couldn’t report it until the next day when away from the cottage. We stay in the dales often & this was a little isolated for us as no phone signal at all & left elderly parents at home that I needed to check in on plus the WIFi kept dipping out. Instructions for tv use would be good for older guests that aren’t used to a smart tv with instant channels when turned on. You only get a starter kit for the wood burner, 4 logs for 4 nights so wouldn’t want to be stranded there mid winter with no electricity, nobody next door at all during our stay. Lovely views, would stay again but only in the spring. Great base for touring the dales & had a day trip to the lakes. Great to swim at cauldron falls 😍. Stairs not steep as per description in email, 5 stairs up then 5 to either side. Nice relaxing stay overall, Would like to be able to lock outer door & rotting wood in conservatory window needs replacing to stop the flys in there.

Lovely remote spot - away from the hustle and bustle of normal life which gave us the peace and tranquility we needed. Stunning countryside around the property and we were visited my a multitude of wildlife.property itself is lovely and clean and equipped with everything we needed. The Streethead Inn up the road does really good food, and we loved visiting West Burton which had a great green that our dog chased tennis balls endlessly on.
