Guests say

East Stonelea is a well-equipped, cosy cottage praised for its modern fittings, cleanliness, and comfortable furnishings. Guests appreciate its proximity to green spaces and local attractions like Aysgarth Falls. While the road location raised initial concerns, it proved quiet at night. The limited outdoor space for dogs was noted, yet the property's overall charm and thoughtful touches, such as a welcome pack, contributed to enjoyable stays.

Guests consistently describe the cottage as clean and tidy, with a well-equipped kitchen and a clean bathroom. The high standard of cleanliness contributes significantly to the comfort and appeal of the property.

The cottage's location is appreciated for its quietness at night and proximity to local attractions and walks, including Aysgarth Falls. Although situated on a busy road, guests found this not to be an issue. The lack of on-site parking is a minor inconvenience, but manageable with nearby village parking.

Reviewers find East Stonelea very comfortable, with spacious bedrooms, cosy lounges, and a warm atmosphere. The beds are comfortable, though individual preferences for mattresses and pillows vary. The property is warm and inviting, especially with the wood burner in the evenings.

The cottage is praised for being well-equipped like a home from home, with everything needed for a stay. The shower and kitchen receive positive mentions. However, there is a minor issue with a bathroom mirror needing better securing, and during a storm, guests found it challenging to adjust the heating.

Guests are delighted by thoughtful touches such as a welcome pack and a basket of logs, contributing to a pleasant and homely experience. While such gestures are warmly received, it's important to note that these are not guaranteed for every stay.

Well equipped cottage, modern and high standard of fittings. Limited outside space for dogs. But there is plenty of green space close by. We had reservations about how close it was to the road. But you don't really notice it too much, and at night it's super quiet so not an issue.
