Beth’s Cottage resides within the grounds of Mill Barn, secured within five acres of private land, a beautifully presented holiday let forming part of an old converted Cow Shed. This property is perfectly positioned near the small hamlet of East Knapton, between the North Yorkshire moors and the Yorkshire Wolds surrounded by open working countryside. On arrival, guests will travel down a long sloping gravel drive to arrive at the property where two vehicles can be parked comfortably and hassle-free. Entering the property, guests will be welcomed to this charming dwelling by a pleasant open planned kitchen/living space which boasts original wooden beams and vaulted ceilings, perfectly complementing contemporary style living with traditional features. The kitchen area is well equipped, housing a range of modern appliances needed to create a tasty home-cooked feast, whilst also providing a great spot to chat at the breakfast bar before the meal is savoured together at the dining table. The living area hosts a comfortable seating area, ideal for resting tired legs and for curling up to spend the evening catching up on your favourite shows. The underfloor heating system throughout this space ensures that comfort can be maintained. The luxury of bifold doors allows for easy access to the west-facing outdoor space to the rear of the property, allowing guests to enjoy outdoor living even when the weather is unpredictable. Adjacent to the living area you will find two spacious double bedrooms, both serviced by an en-suite shower room with deluxe fixtures and fittings. Both bedrooms have plentiful storage and hanging space, each with its own character. Outside the property, to the front, is a small seating area with views over the North Yorkshire Moors to enjoy your morning coffee or to take a minute to relax to breathe in the country air. To the rear of the property is a larger private outdoor space which is a perfect place to enjoy alfresco dining with family and friends. Whilst a guest at Beth’s Cottage, you will be surrounded by miles of working countryside, perfect for exploring with long walks whilst also being in a central location to take advantage of the scenery and landscapes in the Howardian Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, perfect for avid walkers and cyclists setting out for the day. For a tranquil day of strolling, head to the National Trust property, Nunnington Hall or Scampston Hall, and discover the magnificent manor homes complete with perfectly-kept gardens for you to wander. Why not venture into the town of Malton? The town is known as a top foodie destination with its famous food festival, monthly food market, Malton Cookery School, traditional food shops and ‘Made in Malton’ artisan producers. It was Antonio Carluccio who first called the town, “Yorkshire’s Food Capital!”. You are also in a prime position to discover the glorious city of York; the city centre is within easy reach from the dwelling by car, here you can enjoy the amazing York Minster and the walls encompassing the city, as well as plenty more attractions and amenities in the area. For a day beside the seaside, head over to the bustling resort of Scarborough, boasting a lovely beach, a museum, a golf course, an art gallery, harbourside walks and many amenities and attractions within the town itself. Filey is also home to a luscious sandy beach where you can lie out in the sun before grabbing some traditional fish and chips for supper. Treat yourself and your loved ones to all of this and much more by booking Beth’s Cottage.
