A modernised, traditional Scalby cottage offering light and airy accommodation, in a pretty village tranquil setting within three miles of Scarborough. Ideally placed for exploring the Yorkshire coast and North York Moors. Note: This cottage is next to Refs. 6960 & 7333 and together they accommodate 11 people.
Scalby is a village in North Yorkshire, close to the popular seaside holiday town of Scarborough. Scalby has two pubs, two shops, tea room and a beck winding its way between the cottages. Scarborough has a long sandy beach and plenty of amenities and seaside attractions, while the beautiful North York Moors are within easy reach.

Itâs in the beautiful and very friendly village of Scalby and has ample beautiful countryside walks and only a few minutes drive to the seashore and town of Scarborough. The cottage is great value given its location and its size and facilities. âWe call it our second homeâ

Very comfortable double bed. Would say it hadnât had the hard floors fully cleaned, under and behind sofas. Could have done with a couple of cushions on the sofas. The paintwork looked tired like I would expect at the end of the season. Needed painting around the cooker hood and boiler areas. The enclosed and secure fenced area with decking, tables and chairs was perfect for us and our two dogs, I could see it would work well in containing young children. Could just do with the area around the decking being weeded and either properly grassed or Astro turfed. Safe off road parking, always a must for us. Beautiful setting and nice quiet village. Once you got used to the regular clock bells. Overall we were very happy and would recommend this property to others.

Itâs always a pleasure to come back: the house is comfortable, well maintained, and feels like a real home away from home. The location and overall atmosphere are perfect for a relaxing stay, and everything we need is always provided. We also love the picturesque village of Scalby and it's easy access to many lovely walking paths which make it the ideal location to stay with my dogs. The only small downside during our last visit was that part of the garden fence was damaged, which unfortunately allowed our dog to escape. Aside from that minor issue, everything was excellent. We truly enjoy staying here and will definitely be back again.
