About this property

Resting by the coast in the centre of Whitby, North Yorkshire is this ground-floor apartment of Griers Cabin. An ideal retreat for a couple wanting to explore this part of Yorkshire, the apartment is within reach of many beaches dotted along The Cleveland Way as well as being close to the North York Moors National Park. On arrival, you'll be happy to find on-street parking, where you can leave your vehicle before wandering through the stable door into this charming abode. After a busy day of exploring the sights, kick back and relax in the reclining sofa with your favourite beverage in hand as you watch a show on the TV. After relaxing for a while, continue to the kitchen, a space that is perfect for creating easy meals, courtesy of the combination microwave/oven and electric hob. These meals can be tucked into at the dining table for two or brought out to the private decking during the sunnier months. When night falls, freshen up in the shower room's walk-in shower before retreating to the snug double bedroom. Another outdoor space the property has access to is a shared garden, which can be reached by a set of steps and offers a lovely space to sit out with your morning coffee ahead of a day filled with fun in the sun and sand. Stroll along the River Esk to find a range of eateries and shops to suit your needs, along with access to a wealth of attractions and activities to experience, from the sights of Whitby Abbey and Whitby Sea Front to the tours around the Captain Cook Memorial Museum and climbs up the 199 Steps. Spend more time on the coast in the fishing village of Robin Hood's Bay, where the delights of the local museum and The Old Coastguard Station await, as well as the welcoming eateries of The Cove Cafe & Chapel and Fish Box. More fun can be had at the thriving town of Scarborough, where your day can be spent exploring SEA LIFE or Scarborough Castle, sunbathing on one of the charming beaches or picnicking in Peasholm Park, or trying your hand at putting at the Scarborough South Cliff Golf Club. Head further inland to find the market towns of Guisborough and Pickering, both of which offer plenty to see and experience. A blissful break awaits at Griers Cabin.

Welcome to Whitby, a charming coastal town in North Yorkshire that is bursting with history and culture. This vibrant community is home to Whitby Abbey, one of the most famous historical sites in England, as well as the 199 Steps, which lead down to the beautiful harbour. Thank you for the wine milk and tea bags ,much appreciated. Had some lovely walks with our dog Millie (Border Terrier). The price was very reasonable too. The only thing to consider if booking Griers Cabin is the steps leading upto it , there's quite afew ( 15 approximately) which is no good for folk with disabilities or the elderly, apart from that I would recommend Griers Cabin.

Living room generally clean but lots of mould and dust in bathroom and on windows. Mildew on net curtain in bathroom. Grease on some surfaces in kitchen. No cleaning products, bin liners or toilet roll provided and only one towel.
