Alice's Place in Whitby is highly praised for its spacious, well-equipped, and beautifully decorated interiors, offering a peaceful yet central location with the added bonus of private parking. Guests appreciate the two bathrooms, pet-friendly policy, and easy access to local attractions. While most found the property clean and comfortable, a few noted minor issues such as creaky floors, occasional maintenance needs, and some discomfort with the sofa. Thoughtful touches like welcome biscuits are appreciated, though not guaranteed. Overall, guests consistently recommend Alice's Place and look forward to returning.
The majority of reviews describe the property as very clean, spotless, and well-presented. A few guests mentioned minor issues such as musty-smelling wardrobes and a smelly cupboard, but these were exceptions rather than the norm.
The location is universally praised for being central, quiet, and within easy walking distance of Whitby's attractions. The private parking space is highlighted as a significant advantage, though some found access a little tight.
Guests generally found the apartment spacious, comfortable, and cosy, with comfortable beds and good privacy. Some mentioned the sofa and armchair could be more comfortable, and creaky floors were noted by a few.
The property is described as well-equipped, with two bathrooms, a well-stocked kitchen, and thoughtful amenities. Minor suggestions included adding a coffee machine, more teaspoons, and an extra chair. Maintenance issues (e.g., hot water, patio furniture) were rare and quickly resolved.
Guests appreciated thoughtful touches such as a welcome pack with biscuits, books, games, and pet-friendly features. However, as gifts like biscuits are not guaranteed, future guests should not expect them as standard.

What’s not to like about the location.Everything was perfect for us and our pet.Location near everything.Accommodation was great all round.2 big bathrooms and bedrooms.Parking is a little tight but I had a Jaguar SE and it was only a couple of careful manoeuvres to get in.Sofa was a little uncomfortable and could do with replacing.Fantastic would definitely recommend and will use again.

Alice's Place is ideally situated in the centre of Whitby, with shops and restaurants within a couple of minutes' walk. It is spacious, comfortable, beautifully decorated, and very well equipped. Although central, it is in a very quiet location, with no street noise at night. My only small proviso is that the private parking space is accessed down a narrow lane and the turn is tight. We have a Nissan Qashqai and I would not like to try parking a car that was much larger than that.
