This lovely three bedroom apartment is in a great location, with views over the estuary and towards the abbey, just a pleasant stroll away from the centre of Whitby. Picturesk is a first floor apartment where you can spend many an hour sat at the window watching the boats go by, or seeing the children learn to canoe. The communal grounds have some lovely sitting-out areas, as well as a small playground for the little ones. It’s not far to walk into the centre along the side of the estuary, you’ll find that you hardly need the car as it’s a perfect spot to get to all the amenities and see the sights of Whitby.
Walk up the famous Whitby Abbey, with its 199 steps to get to the top. You will see many children counting them as they take each step. The cobbled streets are full of little shops, especially the Whitby Jet jewellery shops. This black gemstone became very popular when Queen Victoria wore it when mourning for her husband. The black jewellery also attracts goths when they hold their famous weekend in Whitby.
The North Yorkshire Moors are on the doorstep, and the Cleveland Way passes through Whitby, so this is a great base for ramblers or hardened walkers. There’s so much to see and do, but if you do want to step outside of Whitby, why not go down the coast to Scarborough, or inland to the town of Pickering, famous for its steam railway. For all ages, Whitby is the perfect holiday spot.

A comfortable, well equipped apartment, looking out onto theRiver Esk.Watch the wildlife and enjoy the differing tides of the river.Look out at the pretty boats and enjoy the trains coming in and out of the station. You can even see the old steam trains from North Yorkshire railway.It's a pleasant walk into town.The shops are nearby for your provisions.You also have the bonus of a covered in parking bay.

Our 2nd stay here and lovely as usual. Already booked a week in November and April. Comfortable and warm accomodation. We'll equipped kitchen and everything you needed for making meals. Would highly recommend to family and friends. Great to have undercroft parking and able to take our wee dog with us on holiday.

This was our second visit to Picturesk and it was as fab as always. The owner is very thoughtful and helpful. The accommodation is so comfortable, clean and has the most beautiful view of the esk. We enjoy watching the steam trains come and go and the wildlife on the waterfront. We have stopped in Whitby so many times but this is now our favourite. We never want to leave and love it here so much we have already booked another stay for early next year! Thank you
