This lovely three bedroom apartment is in a great location, with views over the estuary and towards the abbey, just a pleasant stroll away from the centre of Whitby. Picturesk is a first floor apartment where you can spend many an hour sat at the window watching the boats go by, or seeing the children learn to canoe. The communal grounds have some lovely sitting-out areas, as well as a small playground for the little ones. It’s not far to walk into the centre along the side of the estuary, you’ll find that you hardly need the car as it’s a perfect spot to get to all the amenities and see the sights of Whitby.
Walk up the famous Whitby Abbey, with its 199 steps to get to the top. You will see many children counting them as they take each step. The cobbled streets are full of little shops, especially the Whitby Jet jewellery shops. This black gemstone became very popular when Queen Victoria wore it when mourning for her husband. The black jewellery also attracts goths when they hold their famous weekend in Whitby.
The North Yorkshire Moors are on the doorstep, and the Cleveland Way passes through Whitby, so this is a great base for ramblers or hardened walkers. There’s so much to see and do, but if you do want to step outside of Whitby, why not go down the coast to Scarborough, or inland to the town of Pickering, famous for its steam railway. For all ages, Whitby is the perfect holiday spot.

This apartment was in a lovely location and within walking distance of the town centre and the beach, so once parked up, we didn't have to drive, which was great. The parking space was tight, so I would recommend reversing out of the space. The apartment itself was clean and tidy and well equipped with everything we needed. The welcome gifts were lovely, and it was nice to be able to make a cuppa and have a biscuit on arrival.The view was great, looking over the harbour and boats. We had a restful stay. Would certainly recommend and return in the future.
