We were very impressed with everything about The Spire and would recommend it highly to anyone wishing to stay near to Whitby but not have to worry about parking issues.( Gated community with EV charger assigned to the apartment).The fixtures and fittings were all of very high quality with lots of attention to the small details making for an extremely comfortable base for our weeks stay.We were able to walk in and out of Whitby along The Cinder Track which was very convenient and meant we used our car less than anticipated for local trips. If you like steam trains, then all you need to do is to look out of the window to see one passing through, although this did not disturb our peace and quiet in the slightest.Excellent local Butcher/ Baker/ Deli all in one selling locally produced frozen meals such as Bouef Bourguignon or the highly recommended bacon, egg and sausage sandwich. The local pub is just over the road and very popular with locals but order a lite bite sized portion if you don’t have a large appetite as the dinners are generously served!Very easy to hop on to all the main routes to destinations such as Scarborough, Robin Hoods Bay, Staithes etc.All in all, an excellent place to stay.

We had a lovely stay here - handy for Whitby and also travelling about. Pub opposite does great food (try the pie and mash!!).The only thing that would improve it would be a fob for the gate so we didn't have to get out and put the number in each time (being picky about it).Funny that visitor book had entries saying it needs a microwave. It has a very nice posh built in microwave and the instructions are provided...
