This area was affectionately nicknamed "Captain’s Row", as it was once a prestigious residential area popular with local sea captains. Whitby is still a proud seafaring town, where you can enjoy freshly caught seafood and discover more about the local heritage from Viking invasions, smugglers who risked their lives with a network of tunnels from the cliffs, heroic rescue missions from the life boat crew, and pioneers including James Cook who discovered Australia among other destinations.
Boasting your own designated parking space, which is a huge advantage in such a popular tourist destination, this apartment is the perfect choice for guests looking to explore this fascinating town. The apartment enjoys elevated views over the harbour, both from the garden and the living area. The dining table in the bay window is perfectly positioned so that you can take in the scenery. There is a spacious open plan living area, with the dining area plus living room. One of the charming original features is the decorative Victorian fireplace. Separate from the living area there is a compact kitchen, with a small two ring hob and an oven. There is a modern shower room and a generously sized double bedroom.
The golden sandy beach, the harbour dotted with yachts and fishing boats, the town centre and the abbey and church are just a few minutes walk away. Whitby is an atmospheric town with a wealth of attractions and events throughout the year. The quaint narrow cobbled streets are lined with little shops filled with antiques, crafts and giftware, tea rooms, restaurants and inns. This property also overlooks the railway line where steam trains pass by as they make their way from Whitby to Pickering along the scenic North York Moors Railway. The Garden Apartment is a lovely property, modern, well finished and extremely clean. It benefits from a large lounge with a great view over the harbour. It also has the benefit of a parking space and garden to front and only a few minutes walk from the centre. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and will definitely be returning.

Where should I start from arriving and meeting Fiona, to leaving we had a great time. Fiona made us so welcome the apartment was beautiful with everything you could need. The town centre was five minutes away, we just parked the car in the space provided and spent the week exploring Whitby perfect. Thank you Fiona Ps would love to go again

A lovely apartment located within easy walking distance of the town. Apartment is well equipped and both lounge and bedroom is a good size and comfortable. Views to the front looking over marina and seating area, perfect for a morning coffee. The addition of a car parking space was a bonus. The owners were available for key handover,thanks Fiona. Would highly recommend and would definitely book the next time we stay in Whitby.
