This area was affectionately nicknamed "Captain’s Row", as it was once a prestigious residential area popular with local sea captains. Whitby is still a proud seafaring town, where you can enjoy freshly caught seafood and discover more about the local heritage from Viking invasions, smugglers who risked their lives with a network of tunnels from the cliffs, heroic rescue missions from the life boat crew, and pioneers including James Cook who discovered Australia among other destinations.

A perfect location, just a short walk to the harbour, shops, restaurants. A lovely view out of the window while you eat your breakfast.

The Garden apartment is a fabulous place to stay. All on one level apart from steps up to the apartment. Very well appointed with a fantastic choice of books to read if you have time. Great admiration for the needlepoint pices especially the turtle.
