Sunnydene is a beautifully presented, cosy cottage in the heart of Staithes, highly praised for its cleanliness, charm, and excellent location near the harbour and village amenities. Guests consistently highlight its welcoming atmosphere, well-equipped kitchen, and comfortable furnishings, making it a favourite for repeat visitors. While a few minor suggestions are made regarding kitchenware, outside furniture, and bedroom fans, the overall experience is overwhelmingly positive. Thoughtful touches such as a welcome bottle of wine are appreciated, though not guaranteed. Sunnydene offers a delightful retreat for couples and families seeking a relaxing stay by the sea.
The cottage is frequently described as spotlessly clean, pristine, and well cared for, with only rare minor mentions of pots needing washing. Cleanliness is a consistent highlight across reviews.
The location is universally praised, with guests loving its proximity to the harbour, village centre, and local pubs. The only minor drawback is the steep hill for parking, but this does not detract from the overall appeal.
Guests find the cottage extremely cosy, warm, and comfortable, with many returning year after year. Occasional suggestions include a fan for the top bedroom and improved pillows, but comfort is a strong point overall.
The cottage is well equipped and maintained, with a well-stocked kitchen and modern amenities. Some guests note minor wear on pans, outside furniture, and the cooker, and mention the absence of a washing machine, but these do not significantly impact enjoyment.
Guests appreciate thoughtful touches such as a welcome bottle of wine and good communication from the owner. Please note that such gifts are not guaranteed with every stay.
