We stayed at the Lodge in the middle of November 2025 and found it a really cosy warm welcoming cottage after lovely walks with our dog. The cottage is set in a nice little spot and the neighbours were really nice and friendly which made our stay even better. Skinningrove beach is just a short drive away and benefits from a free carpark if you ask anyone they will point you to it. We have visited Yorkshire about five times and must say the locals are so friendly and helpful such nice people.

It is advertised as having an enclosed garden which it didnt which meant we couldn't just open the back door for our dog. It says it has an electric oven, it doesn't, it has a microwave that can be used as an oven. No good for cooking a proper meal or even a pizza. These are the main reasons we booked this cottage. The water never gets hot in the taps, the shower didnt work although was fixed the next day. The WiFi code was wrong, so what was supposed to be a relaxing few days away wasn't. We had to read up on how to use microwave, ring about WiFi code, ring about shower.He we knew it didnt have an enclosed area or no real oven we wouldn't of booked this place. We feel very let down on the description of this cottage.

A lovely small cottage, ideal for two. Very clean and nice surroundings. Being small, shelves and hooks would be useful and surprised there was no hair dryer. However a very pleasant stay.
