A great farm stay. The cottage is just as pictured. It was spotless and very comfortable. Nice and warm, decent kitchen plus smart TV and good wifi. We were delighted with the interesting tour of the farm which Andrew kindly offered and the kids loved meeting all the animals. Andrew and Paula appear to be doing this for love rather than profit, and that made for a different vibe from some other places we have stayed :-). The fire pit on an autumnal evening with stags bellowing in the distance was really magical. Lots to do in the surrounding area - fascinating castles, beautiful gardens and walks galore, plus some really great museums in Alford. Highly recommend to those who enjoy a slice of farm life!

Wonderful pair of cottages on a farm. Andrew and Paula (and Brenda the dog!) are fabulous hosts, making sure we had everything we needed. Cottage homely, spacious and well located to attractions and local amenities. Farm tour a highlight, wonderful animals, beautiful place. Beds are so comfortable! Would recommend, such a fantastic stay.

If you are looking for a generously sized peaceful retreat in fabulous countryside, with a boot porch, comfy beds and with shopping & eateries a short drive away, plus a well sized kitchen with plenty of utensils for cottage cooking & doorstep entrainment from the variety of farm animals this will tick all boxes. Did not think to turn TV on even once & our dog loved it. The garden is shared with the other cottage but was securely fenced. It had outside seating where we admired the clear starry sky. We would have loved to have been on a longer holiday & would absolutely go back. Great communicative friendly host.
